Brain Building Beats ("we", "our", "us") is committed to collecting only the information needed to operate this website and deliver requested resources.

Information We Collect

Guide delivery: When you request the free guide, we process the email address you provide solely to send that transactional download link. Request and delivery metadata may appear temporarily in operational email logs.

Interactive exercises: Timing scores and listening-game responses are calculated in your browser. Public exercises do not save a personal history. When a signed-in adult starts practice from a child’s dashboard, completed round results are saved to that child’s profile. These include beat counts, practice modes, replay counts, and estimated tap timing offsets, first answers, correct answers, replay help, challenge level, key, and curriculum version. Pitch-discrimination rounds include the compared tone settings and pitch gap. Syncopation rounds include tempo, reference-guide setting, timing offsets, omissions, and extra taps. Singing summaries include target notes, matches, pitch-error estimates, voiced-frame counts, hold time, attempt duration, range, and matching tolerance. Melody creation saves the chosen path without an accuracy score. We also save practice, coaching or check mode, caregiver assistance, whether an example was heard, and review dates with delayed-check outcomes. Parent-recorded projector observations and optional practice minutes are also saved.

Audio: The exercises generate sound in your browser. The pitch-matching exercise accesses your microphone only after you choose “Use microphone.” It analyzes short audio windows on your device to estimate pitch; it does not record, upload, transmit, or store microphone audio. Access ends when you stop the exercise, finish the round, hide the tab, or leave the page.

Parent Accounts & Practice History

We store the adult’s email address, child nicknames, and dated practice entries to provide a private family dashboard. We do not ask for children’s full names, email addresses, or birth dates. Sign-in uses an emailed code and an essential session cookie, lasting up to 30 days and renewed during continued use. Authentication records can include your IP address and browser information for account security.

Only an authenticated parent account can access its own profiles and history. App results describe short practice rounds, not developmental assessments. Projector observations are entered by the adult; no projector is automatically connected.

Keep practice history for as long as you find it useful. In the dashboard’s “Your family’s data” section, download your data, permanently remove a child and their history, or delete the entire account. Live records are removed on deletion; infrastructure backups and operational logs follow Cloudflare’s retention processes. Sign-in emails are transactional and do not subscribe you to marketing.

How We Use Your Information

We use an email address submitted through the guide form only to fulfill that request. We do not add the address to a newsletter or marketing list.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information or serve advertisements. Cloudflare provides website hosting, security, and transactional email delivery and processes the information required to provide those services.

Children's Privacy

The guide and exercises are intended for caregivers and educators. The site does not ask children to create accounts or submit personal information.
